• Belarusian foreign ministry and UN discuss rehabilitation of children from Middle East in Belarus

  BELTA.An initiative of the Belarusian president to rehabilitate children suffered in the Middle East conflict was favorably accepted at the UN General Secretary Office as well as by leadership of UN specialized institutions, programs and funds and governments of the Middle East countries, spokesman for the Belarusian foreign ministry Andrei Popov has told a briefing today.

• Government grants taken away from Belarusian Public and Cultural Community in Poland

  BELTA.The Belarusian Public and Cultural Community (BPCC) in Poland has been deprived of grants of the Internal Affairs and Administration Ministry of Poland for three years. The annual grants amounted to some PLN500,000 (EUR128,000).

• WB Extends $50 Million Loan to Belarus for Chernobyl Recovery Project

  The Belarus Today  ?16(338) 25.04-10.05.06  The World Bank (WB) extends a U.S. $50 million loan to Belarus for the Post-Chernobyl Recovery Project, the WB said in a statement.  Funding will take the form of a Variable Spread Loan with repayment over a 17 year period, including five years grace.
