  • Pensioners' registration rejected

    The Supreme Court left unsatisfied the appeal against the Ministry of Justice which had refused to register The Elders, Belarusian pensioner' NGO. A decision was made on February 5, 2007.

  • Alexander Voitovich elected a Chairman of Law Initiative, the Republican NGO

    Alexander Voitovich, the leader of Cooperation and Progress international social movement, was elected a chairman of Law Initiative, the Republican Non-Governmental Organization. His election was effected at the regular conference of this NGO held to hear reports and elect new officials.

  • National Youth Action Network Organization invites

  • We're urgently looking for partners in Belarus

    Interested in Gender and Sexuality? Want to meet people from all of Europe? Like to discuss and contribute? ACC-Copenhagen (Association for Community Colleges) is organising a trans-European community college in the end of August 2007 and is looking for partners, who want to contribute and send participants. All kinds of organisations are welcome, just as long as you are interested in the topics of gender and sexuality. The community college will take place at a residential school in the area of Greater Copenhagen, Denmark.

  • Young Scientists Scholarships from the Polish Government

    The program of scholarships for young scientists started by the Polish Government in 2003 will be targeted in 2007-2008 academic year at the contenders from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Middle Asia and Caucasian region. Applications from the Belaruian reisdent shall be submitted to the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the Republic of Belarus (6, P.Rumyantsev St., 220034 Minsk, tel. 288 23 13). Deadline for applications submission is May 15, 2007.

  • Summer school for human rights defenders

    Helsinki Human Rights Foundation announces its admission for the 18th International Summer Human Rights School on June 23-30 in Warsaw.

  • Round Table for Education of People with Disabilities

    The round table on Opportunities of Remote Education for People with Restrictied Abilities takes place on January 26 in Minsk. This forum was organized by the Social Innovation Center and the Belarusian Association for Assistance to Disabled Children and Young People with Disabilities.

  • Summer School under the University in Vienna

    adukacyja.info portal informs on the chance to visit the summer school under the university in Vienna. This international summer program for 2007 will take place from July 14 to August 11. Lectures in the fields of jurisprudence, political science, economics, history, arts, music, human rights and the German languare will be proposed.

  • Kirkland Scholarhip Contest

    Polish-American Wolnoc Foundation and Polish-American Fulbright Commission announce Kirkland scholarship contest for 2007-2008 academic year. Claimants from Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Moldova are invited for participation. This Lane Kirkland Scholarship Program is aimed at knowledge interchange in the field of system information. The two-semester education in Polish Univerities is scheduled. From 2 to 4 week probation period in the local state-owned and private institutions is also expected.

  • AISEC will be restored in Belarus

    AISEC is a students' organization involved in professional students' interchange between the member-states or the non-governmental organizations, for probation periods in the fields of their special interests. This organization has been operating in Belarus till 2004; and today the enthuiasts have proceeded with its restoration.

  • Thrift and Saving Directive No. 3 is under elaboration in Belarus.

    Directive No. 3 related to energy resources thrift and saving treats the same as the basis of the national security. It is being elaborated on the instruction of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

  • On Monthly Average Salary in the Republic of Belarus

    The Ministry of Statistics and Analysis, Republic of Belarus, has notified that average charged salary of people employed in the Republic of Belarus in December 2006 made roubles 668 049 (as against roubles 611 482 in November 2006); the same of the white-collars and worker made roubles 688 621 (as compatred to roubles 628 636 in November 2006).
