  • Belarus Professor Makes Outstanding Discovery

    For hundreds years Raphael Santi's fresco the School of Athens at the Vatican Library has kept a secret that is related to our country. The discovery is made by Professor of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio Eectronics Grigory Reviako who has found a striking resemblance of one of the persons from the fresco of the famous Italian painter to Frantisek Skorina. His evidence is so convincing that is impossible to dispute it.

  • Millions Pay Last Respects To Pope John Paul II At Vatican Funeral

    The world's 1 billion Roman Catholic faithful said their final farewells today to Pope John Paul II in what is being called the largest funeral in modern times. Between 2 and 4 million pilgrims traveled to Rome for his open-air funeral. At least 200 heads of state and government and other global dignitaries were also in attendance, as well as representatives of the world's major religions.

  • UNDP project trains advisers on HIV/AIDS prevention

    Teams of volunteers and outreach workers were trained last weekend to provide advice to risk groups on the prevention of HIV/AIDS and sexually-transmitted diseases (STDs), during two workshops held in Minsk as part of a United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) project carried out in cooperation with the Belarus Ministry of Health.

  • First European Community College (FECC)

     FECC is inviting everybody to take part in three web-seminars dealing with contents of a future European citizenship education. The first web-seminar will take place between October 25th 31st, the second from November 15th — 21st and the third from December 6th to 12th. After each session there will be an interim report sent as well as a final report at the end. Contributions to the (excluding the senders e-mail address) will be visible at in order for everybody to see what ideas emerge on principles, methods and aims of a non-formal European citizenship education.
