Baltic Sea Days on 23 – 25 April in Berlin, Germany

To mark the German Presidency of the Council of the Baltic Sea States, the German Federal Foreign Office was staging the Baltic Sea Days in Berlin from 23 to 25 April 2012 which were also attended by the delegation of the Baltic Assembly. Within the framework of the Baltic Sea Days a meeting of parliamentarians from the Baltic Sea countries took place to discuss the issues of the EU Baltic Sea Strategy, employment and cross border labour force issues, education and research issues.

The Baltic Sea Parliamentary Dialogue was taking place in conjunction with the Baltic Sea Youth Parliament and Baltic Sea NGO Forum involving young people and representatives from all states in the Baltic Sea Region, which was organised on the same day by the German Federal Foreign Office. One of the purposes of this Parliamentary Dialogue was to give the participants the opportunity to discuss the subjects of their deliberations with parliamentarians.
