Eternal scar on one’s heart

№30(5696) от 15.02.2012  More than 20 years have passed from pullout of the Soviet troops from Afghanistan. Many episodes, feats, and names are forgotten little by little, but not by the soldiers who served in Afghanistan, and not by the mothers, fathers, wives, children of those who did not come back. For their sake the Memory of Afghan Charitable Foundation, headed by its irreplaceable director, a peacekeeping soldier Alexander Metla, has been functioning in Belarus for ten years. Alexander has seen war at close quarters.
