№46(5461) 12.03.11 MemoryUnion of Families of the Perished, Dead, Disabled at Wars”  Charitable Non-Governmental Organization for Volkovysk District, established by the volunteers from Belarusian town of Volkovysk, helps thousands of people to withstand the test of fate. 

Today, they are 41 in number, people who determined to found a charitable organization in order to render feasible help to people in need. The Union includes the mothers of soldiers perished in Afghanistan, relatives of men and women suffering from painful diseases, young men bedridden after different accidents and complications.
 
“Officially, we started to work in August 2007, and the members of our organization rendered help to dozens of thousands people during the past period”, — said Victor Kleps, chairman of the Memory and one of the activists of the Afghanistan War Disabled Veterans” Republican Association. — Friendship relations have been established with many NGOs both in Belarus and in foreign countries such as Russia, Denmark, Germany, USA, etc. International NGOs help us – to the extent possible – to pay for treatment of severely ill children in the hospitals of foreign countries. Today we are preparing the appeal to EU countries and Russia for implementation of joint programs in treatment and rehabilitation of certain people…

Note: “Memory – Union of Families of the Perished, Dead, Disabled at Wars”  Charitable Non-Governmental Organization for Volkovysk District is a non-profit charitable organization which renders free help to disabled people, World War II veterans, former warriors-internationalists, citizens who are the victims of Chernobyl calamity, liquidators of natural and technogenic emergency situations, former little prisoners of fascists’ concentration camps, disabled children, orphans, large-, incomplete-, and foster families.
