Initiatives “Interdisciplinary approach to prevention from trafficking in juveniles” and “Introduction of training in the field of trafficking in juveniles into the system of retraining of specialists”

Being the co-implementer of the “Prevention from trafficking in juveniles: Republic of Belarus” project of ILO-Ministry of Internal Affairs, the International non-governmental organisation “Ponimaniye” is implementing, in 2009-2011, its initiatives “Interdisciplinary approach to prevention from trafficking in juveniles” and “Introduction of training in the field of trafficking in juveniles into the system of retraining of specialists”.

The main idea of such initiatives is to provide the workers of state-owned institutions and teachers in the postgraduate education establishments with medical/psychological and social/pedagogical techniques of rendering assistance to children who are the victims of human trafficking. The workers of INGO “Ponimaniye” have mastered such technologies during their training within the international training program “Extensive support to children who are the victims of human trafficking” (2006-2007), arranged by the Childhood Department of the Council of the Baltic countries (Stockholm, Sweden).
